PIAGGIO

(2010 – 2020)

Piaggio boasts a long-standing history in Italian industry and mobility. Back in 1882, Enrico Piaggio opened a factory for the production of naval supplies. This was followed, two years later, by the founding of Piaggio & C by Rinaldo Piaggio, engaged from 1889 in the railways sector.

The company made its début in the aeronautical field in 1916, and after a series of ups and downs, finally approached the world of two-wheeled vehicles. In 1964 the aeronautical (I.A.M. Rinaldo Piaggio) and motorcycle (Piaggio & C.) divisions split to become two independent companies, with the latter paving the way for the birth of Italian mobility, in the wake of the economic boom enjoyed in those years. As from the 1960s, Piaggio began to churn out a series of highly successful products.

Three wheels, ABS and ASR

The Piaggio MP3 range adopt the ABS anti-locking braking system integrated with ASR traction control. The ASR can be easily disconnected and guarantees safety by keeping the rear wheel from slipping on dangerous surfaces like wet asphalt. The three channel ABS system, developed in collaboration with Continental, maximizes active safety preventing wheel blockage when braking and providing full control of the vehicle at all times.

I-get engine

The Piaggio Liberty offers something for everyone with its choice of 50 cc and 150 cc. The 3-valve i-get ultra-modern 4T air-cooled engine with electronic injection delivers reduced consumption, top performance and minimal work on the maintenance front.

350 cc and 400 cc

The Piaggio Beverly range comes in a choice of 350 and 400 cc.  The single cylinder 4-stroke, 4-valve 350-cc engine with electronic injection delivers maximum power of 30 hp at 7250 rpm with maximum torque of 21.4 Nm and 5750 rpm while the ultra-modern 400 single-cylinder is designed for performance.
